YouTube back online after worldwide outage

YouTube is back online again after a worldwide outage left millions of users without access.

A technical glitch prevented access to the Google-owned platform, including its YouTube TV and YouTube Music, just before 12.30pm today.

When users tried to access their accounts they were met with a range of error messages including "Server  error" and “https://www.youtube.com/?pbjreload=10”

Users posted to social media that they could access videos, music and television on their YouTube accounts just before 2pm today.

Regions affected by the outage included Australia, Asia, the United States and parts of Europe.

"Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues,” The Team YouTube Twitter account posted.

“We're working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated."

Reporting site aussieoutages.com.au showed a spike in issues logged just before 1pm, with more than 2000 users indicating they couldn't access YouTube.

Earlier this month, Instagram also crashed for a brief amount of time, but was running again within an hour.
